The 2nd quiz I conducted on the @kweezzz handle. Because @WhorribleWriter asked me to make it ungoogleable, I had to give out a lot of hints while conducting :-/

ANSWERS

A1. The movie is The Haunted Castle (1896), a 3 minute movie considered to be the first horror movie ever. You can watch the complete movie here-

 

A2.  Clockwise from left, the movies are Phantom Of the Opera , The Hound of Baskervilles and Dracula, Prince of Darkness. They were all made under the Hammer Film productions.

A3.  Clockwise from left, the movies are Pet Sematary, The Mist and Children of the Corn. All based on novellas by Stephen King.

A4. Clockwise from left, the movies are Frankenstein, The Mummy and The Raven. Boris Karloff starred in all three movies.

A5. For the 1st 3 images, clockwise from left, the movies are The Exorcist, The Sixth Sense and Jaws. The movie below is The Silence of the Lambs. All 4 were nominated for the Oscar for Best Film but only Silence of the Lambs won.

A6. All 3 movies are classic Japanese horror. Clockwise from left- Jigoku, Kuroneko and Onibaba.

A7. Clockwise from left, the movies are The Beyond (Italy), Zibahkhana/Hell’s Ground (Pakistan) and Dead Snow (Norway).

A8. All the 3 have been directed by John Carpenter. Clockwise from left, The Fog, Christine and Halloween.

A9. The 3 movies are part of a supernatural horror trilogy ‘The Three Mothers‘ directed by Dario Argento. Clockwise from left- Suspiria, Inferno and Mother Of Tears.

A10. The obvious connection is The Exorcist. The person on the top left is William Peter Blatty- author of the book. On the right is Pazuzu the demon- the antagonist in the movie. And the painting is ‘Empire of Light‘ by René Magritte which inspired this iconic scene and VHS cover of the movie-

A11. The person on the top left is Henry James who wrote a novella ‘The Turn of The Screw‘. The image on top right is from the movie ‘The Innocents‘ , considered the best adaptation of the novella. The bottom left image is from the movie ‘The Others‘ which is partially inspired by The Turn Of the Screw. The one on the right is the unofficial shitastic Hindi remake of The Others- Hum Kaun Hai?
